São Lourenço do Barrocal is a family estate dating to the 18th century, restored into a working hotel that still farms its own land in the Alentejo countryside around Monsaraz. The estate sits inside the Alqueva Dark Sky Reserve, a protected zone of more than 3,000 square kilometers.
