Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort sits deep in Finnish Lapland, about 155 miles north of the Arctic Circle in Saariselkä, a region with essentially no large-scale development in any direction. The resort popularized the glass igloo concept decades ago, and its thermal-glass domes remain purpose-built for watching the aurora, or the Milky Way on a quiet night, without leaving a heated bed.
